A brief history of Calywood+Santa Film Int’l
Calywood + Santa Film International was founded in 2003 in Munchengladbach, Germany, but started its operations in 2005 here in Calabar, Cross River State.  It has been in the forefront of developing tourism and entertainment in Cross River State and Nigeria.  The organization’s training/ academy department has trained many indigenous and none indigene/interested persons in acting, directing, television presentation, directing, script writing and many more. The organization is registered with cooperate affairs commission and also has been involved in the following events: 
Abuja international film festival, AMAA Awards, Cross River State movie Award (CRIMA),  Cannes Film Festival, Paris Fashion Fair,  Celebrity Planet Naija Award , Tinapa opening ceremony, Carnival Calabar, CarniRiv and other tourism events in and out of Cross River State. We have also produce films like “EBURUTU” (the land of our birth), Monyombe, Mbora, Spirit of Jezebel and Chronicle of Calapongas”.
The Company has a Board of Directors and Management Team made up of Professionals, I.T Experts and an Enterprising Crop of Young Individuals with excellent ideas, among whom is Veteran (Prince) Anderson Bassey Edim, a graduate of University of Calabar, Nigeria, Schafferitch school of Dramatic Arts and Film, in Munchengladbach, Germany, Where he studied history, television and film. He also attended Berlin Theatre Germany, and Morgan Selhurst training centre on human rights and legal services- Ottawa, Canada.

Calywood+Santafilm International is a globally recognized leader in providing services and support to the entertainment industry. Our focus ensures that Cross River State is and will always be a world-renowned production/ training centre.

Mission
Calywood+Santafilm International builds, supports and markets Cross River State entertainment industry, by collaborating with the indigenous entertainment community, we strive to implement innovative ways to grow our industry, provide the hand-on world-class service that our clients need and desire, and exceed our annual business goal to become the number one global market leader.

Mandate
Calywood+Santafilm International contribute to the economic development programmes of the development and expansion of the motion pictures and entertainment industry sectors. Our role encompasses many activities, such as attracting and promoting film and video production in Cross River State, facilitating access to film locations, by eliminating bureaucratic “red-tape”, serving as liaison between the industry and government entities and marketing the state as a world-class Training and production centre.
